Falling for her

Quote from Teik Zhen (25 OCT '06)

When you feel like spending more time with her without knowing why, thats when you are falling for her...

Still remember last time when she asked me, "Why do you like me? What qualities in me that make you fall for me?" I was stunned by the question, and I could not think of a “best” answer for her. After a while, I answered back with the first impression she gave me (when I start falling for her) and other common-good-qualities-that-a-girl-should-have. Obviously, the way I answer is in a very unorganized way and maybe stupid? She did not reply much after that and went offline a while after.

Of course, I could not blame anyone except my own self for being less verbal, unknowledgeable or immature enough…

Sometimes I wonder; do we actually need a reason to love someone?

Room Layout Changed Again

Went IKEA, Queensway, with Kim, Joseph, Weiliang and Kenny this morning. Around 1030. Bought a S$2.90 glass vase and a S$1.80 Potpourri (air fresheners; Dofta and Potpourri. That is what written in the receipt).

I only poured half of the Potpourri out in the jug. The rest I kept in my cupboard. Woohoo, my cupboard, with all my cloths inside, are filled with the aroma! Haha.

We had our lunch at Burger King, after we met Zhihao, Roy and Al. Then we went AnchorPoint. After finish shopping for groceries, Roy took his car and drop us back at hall.

New arrangement of bed and decor.

The jug with Potpourri.

Nice?

Haze

Indonesia's Vice President asked Malaysia to be "fair" in responding to the smoke haze that has been enveloping neighboring countries.

"The oxygen produced by the forests of Kalimantan and Sumatra has benefited Malaysia... If they want the benefit, sometimes, when something bad happens, they shouldn't feel bothered..."

Does it make sense? I mean to relate the oxygen that produced to the haze problem. It is not very wise to critic about other people (or even boast about your contribution to other people to pull yourself up a bit) when you yourself are making mistakes. Furthermore, Indonesia has yet to ratify the ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution that was signed by all 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in year 2002 (Yahoo!, 2006)

Read this http://asia.news.yahoo.com/061015/kyodo/d8kourlg0.html

There are more than 570 hot spots detected in Sumatra, Indonesia. From June to August this year only, the country recorded 8,476.5 forest fired in seven provinces (ANTARA, 2006).

(Maybe the haze contributed by the forest of Indonesia is outweighing the benefits, oxygen produced in particular?)

Anyway, Indonesian government really should do something about the haze problem that will come back and strikes the region every year.

Defending your own mistakes will never bring you any good. That is what I believe.

SUSPECT DETAINED AT KENT RIDGE HALL

Received this email from office this afternoon…

Hmm, this is sure a shocking news to all Kent Ridgens, especially the girls.

Dear Residents,
On 14 October 2006, at about 12.40pm, a male employee from our cleaning vendor, M/s Sun City Maintenance Pte Ltd, was caught taking ladies' undergarment from the laundrette at D Block. D Block resident, Shawn Low Wei Hiong, caught the culprit red-handed and with the assistance of Yeong Hoong Soon restrained the culprit before handing him over to the police. Our Hall commend Shawn Low and Hoong Soon for their exemplary conduct and quick response in stopping a crime.. Residents are hereby reminded that to be vigilant at all times. Let us continue to help look after each other's properties/interest and ensure that all exits including fire exits are properly closed and secured at all times, to prevent trespassing.

L O V E

Image from "A lil' bit of This & That"

LOVE…

Love, for me in this case, is a kind of indescribable feeling. I will feel extra happy when she sits near or beside me.

I will constantly look for her presents in every occasion. I will act as if I do not know her present at most of the time, and even she is looking at me, I will also act as if I do not know. Weird huh?

I my eyes, she is definitely not the most pretty girl around, but somehow, she is hundred times more attractive than other pretty girls. Her appearance, her voices will stay in my mind and keep on repeating (when I am not busy, of course).

She will become my inspiration, the power that helps me preserver on! Her interest will also become part of my ‘hobby’ too. I will also keep track and start to collect the things she likes.

I will become nervous and loose my sense of direction when she comes near me. And I might even shudder because of nervous when approach her (während datierung spiel).

LOVE, this kind of feeling is undeniably PRICELESS!

Sometimes, I would rather keep this kind of feeling deep down within me… if I ‘feel’ that relationship will never sparks off between us. I never like the saying that “if you do not tell now, you will regret it forever”. For me, I rather keep it myself rather than doing things that will force me to end the feeling I felt for her.

LOVE is definitely sweet, but sometimes, you will feel painful (and glad, somehow) especially when you realize you can never hold that person by your side…

Winning The Game In Life

Below is an article about how to become winner in the game of live. I got this article from The Straits Times, October 7, 2006. Personally, I find this article very informative and inspiring.

~*~*~*~*~*

Sports champions know how to win and accomplish their dreams. They have learned the secrets of winning and success in sport. The mental game concepts that follow are familiar ones in the sports world. Examine these principles and laws of winning in sports and see how you can apply them in your daily life.

1. Go the extra mile
Making that extra effort can make the difference between winning and just barely losing. It means going the extra mile – when you are tired, when victory is not a guarantee, when things look bleak. Champions routinely push themselves.

2. Get it done
High achievers use this phrase constantly to display their commitment to the task at hand. They will do whatever it takes, against all odds, to succeed, once they have made the commitment to succeed.

3. The killer instinct
Champions know how to finish off a contest once a lead is established. They have no qualms about defeating the opponent. They keep their sights aimed at victory and are unrelenting as they forge ahead.

4. Raising your game
Performance level must be ratcheted up at various stages of a contest. To seize an opportunity to win, the champion digs deep and pulls up from within the all-encompassing desire to succeed that takes him to the next level.

5. Coming from behind
Champions know how to win even on a bad day. They hope for the best but also have plans for the worst. They are able to kick themselves out of the cellar and find a way to win, even if it is not pretty.

6. Playing to win
Champions are not bashful or ashamed to say that they love winning. They play positively, confidently and play like they mean it. They take bold, yet reasoned chances and believe that they will succeed.

7. Avoid “playing not to lose”
Losers or also-rans play not to lose. They play scared, they worry about making errors, they are indecisive and they doubt themselves. When they get a lead, they protect it and are fearful of losing it. Champions hate to lose than they love to win and will do everything in their power to make sure they win.

8. Avoid “protecting a lead”
Champions do not attempt to protect leads. They seek to increase leads. Also-rans try to protect a lead and lose in the process. Champions step up to the plate and go for it even more because they allow that surge of confidence to take them over and go to the next level as they increase momentum.

9. Digging deep
Champions live for those make-it or break-it pivotal moments in a contest. They compete to taste those times when only a supreme, back-breaking effort will propel them to victory. They want to have a story to tell. They want to be in a contest that is meaningful and significant and that will be remembered for a long, long time. They reach deep down inside to find the magic needed to win.

10. In the zone
High achievers know how to climb into that optimal performance zone and ride the wave of success. They know how to get in the flow and allow things to happen. They do not get in their own way and block themselves. They soar with success.

11. Getting the momentum
Peak performers understand and use momentum to their advantage. Every “contest” has momentum and the secret is to identify it and tap into it. They champion increases momentum and the chances of success by ramping up energy and by taking more risks.

12. No mind games
A true champion does not need to play mind games. He is aware of all potential mind games that various opponents may indulge in and is ready for them. The champion counters all mind games and maintains true integrity.

Champions are a different breed. Are they born this way or do they develop the attributes of winners? Whatever it is, you can learn from them, be inspired by them, use them as benchmarks and view them as role models. Just as they win the mental game of sports, you can win the mental game of life.

~*~*~*~*~

When I type the sentence “be inspired by them, use them as benchmarks and view them as role models”, I realize something, all the KR raggers and their KRonos are something that inspire me when I enter KR in 19th July. Yes, they will always be my role model my benchmarks and for RAG next year. Guess extra efforts are needed to make sure that RAG next year will also surprise everyone in NUS.

Yosh, hang in there!

Sleeping time... screwed up...

It is 0541 now. I tried to sleep from 0430 until now, but failed. I think the Mid-term break has screwed up my sleeping time already. Feel so helpless, wanted to sleep but cannot.
What shud I do? I wonder...

Present from Weiman

Got these cool presents from Weiman, my KR Dating Game 06/07 date around 0130 just now.

Although its a bit late because the Dating Game has ended 2 months ago, but nevermind, at least she 'still remember' to give me something. =p Hehe. Can't blame her because she was busy with RAG that time. She can't possibly find extra time to do things for Dating Game. So, I guess she 'made full use' of the mid-term break to complete these presents.

Anyway, the present is very cool! Especially the "Poison Container"! Haha. She made that because of our 'gothic dressing' during Formal Dinner. In the letter below, my name was designed in black and white because of my DnD costume theme: Convicts. Haha.

Ohya, in the "Poison Container", the are 5 peices of "WeiMan Cookies". Haha. Yupz, She baked the cookies herself. Ingredients of WeiMan Cookies : apple + cinnamon + preserved fruit + nutmeg...

A Letter! With Formal Dinner photo!
