I must say, 1.2GHz dual core is awesome, and recommended requirement for Android OS.
A lot of app which always force close, or lag on my SGS1, runs very smooth on SGS2. I.e, Google Maps, Skype, Facebook for Android, and even the Android Market app itself.
* Note: Android multi APK has been rolled out recently. Read more about it here. Maybe after the developers fine tune the apps according to device, then we will have better performance for all different device. But again, I doubt devs will wanna spent time fine tuning their apps just to cater for unpopular or soon-out-of-phase devices.
Very satisfied with the performance of SGS2.
