Typical work desk at home.

Been busy everyday for the past few months, trying to code out the alpha stage of my website project.

Ah, the progress is just so slow, when you only have weekends to work on it. Maybe because I'm not that experience in developing a complete website.

Nevertheless, its still a good experience that I enjoy very much.

Re: TechCrunch | HP To Apple: You Win.

Very true. Apple is dominating the market, be it PC, HP, or Tablets, everywhere. (Its going to be "Umbrella Corp" soon... Haha)

 Well, Apple is indeed doing great job at the moment, just like Microsoft 10/20 years back.

 One of the torn for other companies is the patent issue. (Most of it are simple design concepts, which I think the patent shouldn't be granted in the first place.) Thats why there is this Googorola coming up to defend Android, and its developers.

 The only company that is doing great in hardware now is Samsung. The mobile phone (SGS2) are great, but the tablet sales got halted by Apple's patent lawsuit in some countries, preliminary court order though. 

Anyway, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is available in Singapore! The pricing model is exactly as iPad2! Just that hardware specs are better!

The picture speaks everything that I wanted to say about people who makes pointless comments on the net. :) Oh, I particularly hate those who makes pointless comments in FORUMs... seriously no point in showing off how stupid they are.

Blogging

I really admire those people who consistently blog about their life, their kids. Example of one of the blog that follow http://myangelpanda.blogspot.com/.

I don't know the blogger, but just bookmarked her blog in my Google Reader after YC recommended the blog. And I followed through every single post ever since. I find it amusing to read those post about her child - from new born to almost-2-year-old-kid-that-can-walk.

Reading through my old posts, I find that I tend to blog less and less about my life. I feel that nothing much to blog about.

I wonder will I continue to blog when I'm old?

Just finish recording my expenses for the past months. I spent about $300 for the March...

and gosh! I spent $570 for Feb?!? Oh, thats the suay month where I lost my wallet after withdraw from bank... smart ass yeah? =.='

Ah, need to really start reduce my expenses and start saving money...

Just wana grumble about things that were running back-n-forth in my mind...

1. Haih, my nightmare just begin when everyone else's finishes.
2. Should start warping up my project for the lvl5 module.
3. Command - hall command, block command...
4. Still waiting for Blp result - no news since the shadow... maybe no hope?
5. ImagineCup - not sure how to continue the next round - time constrain.
6. Holiday - should I go back? Or stay to find work / do project / slack?!?
7. What is my goal in life? Goal for the next phase of life?

just another random update

Sometimes when I look at my blog, I felt very disturbed by the whole layout and contents. The whole things is just too complicatedly-messy with pictures, embedded-videos... I wanted a layout with lots of functions (feed button, share button, tweets, reaction poll, traffic report...) but there isn't any good layout out there with all these functions integrated with a simple-and-clean design. And, as much as I wanted, I can't design (from scratch)...

Ah, just talking nonsense here.

Anyway, updates for today.

Had my mid-term for Algorithms today. I think the paper is not very difficult. Not saying I can do all the questions. Answered 8/11 question with confidence. But, probably it super easy for some of those genius out there. Returned the text book to library in the afternoon.

Had lunch with YC at Yakun @ YIH. Okok only I guess. Both of us agree that ToastBox is better. :)

Went for "Managing Software Source in University Research" talk at iCube (opposite KR) at 2-5pm. Its about the advantage and points-to-note for Open Source licensing in Academic perspective, type of Open Source license, Risk of Open Source, Open Source Business model, etc... Took down notes during the talk. Its not well organized with the sequence of the points jumbled. Anyway, for those who interested, heres the link.
