Maybank2u Email Scam

Been receiving Maybank scam email with the following details lately:
Subject: ALERT - M2u Account Notice
From: Maybank2u <m2u@maybank2u.com.my>

or

From: Maybank2u <ib@maybank2u.com.my>

Below are some of the steps you can check to make sure the email you receive is from trusted source. (I've also blogged about how to quickly check email source previously here.)

Check the "Message Source"

1. Click the "arrow" beside reply button in Hotmail, then select "View Message Source".

Check the link and "Message Source".

2. Then check the email source. There will be several "Received: " field. Check for the last field, the one just before "Message-id: " field.

The sender is not from "maybank2u.com", its from "euclid-tech.com.tw"!

Actually, I'm surprised that the email got thru Hotmail Scam/Phising filter. This kind of email should be very easy to be identified as spam by the message header.
