Ah, after 5 days, manage to finish the "coupon code" add-on feature on-top of SimpleCart.
The main challenges are
1. Updating the products in the page and cart after coupon code is entered/removed - in the end, I,used json to get the price and update the promotion items.
2. Cross-domain scripting for the ajax/json calls for payments.
I would say its not very robust yet, but its good that the basic functionalities are up.
And... Finally can shut down my laptop after 5 days. Didn't shutdown because I don't want to close all open files, and FTP paths. In case you wondered, yes, its a non-SVN project, and yes, it PITA to update/merge the files.
