HELL EXPLAINED BY CHEMISTRY STUDENT

Haha. Rubbish, buy funny. =p

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington
chemistry mid-term. The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well :Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)? Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following:First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So, we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with >you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be
true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct...... leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."

This student got the only A of the class.

Windows XP Royal Noir + Yahoo! Widget 4 = Windows Vista

Windows XP Royal Noir Desktop Theme

Ever wonder how to change the Start Menu bar to black colour without installing additional program? Well, found a website that provide this so called, Royal Noir theme, a dark theme for Windows XP.

Yahoo! Widgets 4

Yahoo! Widgets 4 has been released today. It has been improved from the previous Widgets to the one similar to the Gadgets in Windows Vista. Why I said so? Well, its because Widgets 4 has the added a "dock" to manage all the Widgets and the black-transparent effect for the whole Widgets is similar to the black transparent used in Vista.

Enjoy!

Screwed...

Suddenly, everything got into my way. Everything become a mess.

Spent 2 whole days connecting my Lab circuit, in the end, I was forced to remove everything and reconnect them just to add 1 more chip... All because of "this is what we want you to do", the circuit works fine even without the chip leh... haih... *speechless*

Spent yesterday whole afternoon in lab to connect the circuit, in the end, I forget to submit my Programming Lab 8 Assignment, which I've completed on Sunday. Should have just submit it straight after completed. Guess I was too "greedy" for "perfection" (to submit only once to Coursemarker). I was hoping to be able to gather more info/test data from forum before submitting for the first time... WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING?!?

Haih, things happened can never be undone...

wei... 定点来 leh!!!

visit to Tiger Brewery

Event: KR Alumni outing
Location: Tiger Brewery, Tuas
Date: 16 March 2007

---------------

Went Tiger Brewery in Tuas yesterday evening, 1800. The tour ambassador of Tiger Brewery took us around the factory to let us see how tiger beer is manufactured.

Actually, during the tour, she explained a lot of facts about Asia-Pacific Breweries Ltd. The company's history, the ingredient used to produce different kind of beers, the process of But, hmm, guess everyone wasn't paying attention to what she said. What is on everyone's mind is the free floor tiger beer after that, I guess. Haha.

I drank 5 glasses of beers, different kind of beers of course. Tiger, Heineken, ABC Stout, Corona, and Erdinger. Hehe, like always, the 'red spots' pop-ed up all over my body after drinking. =p

Quite an experience, to visit the brewery and drink so much (well, consider much for me; first time drink more than 1/2 glass, because mom is not around =p hehe). At least I didn't drink until like others who got 'high' or even vomit. Haha.

Heineken ;)

The ambassador told us that Corona is well liked by women.

The awards won by Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd.

3 months Holiday

Applied for Assistant Chief Engineer for the coming RAG Committee... means my holiday plan is definitely gone already.

Initially, I planned to go outing with friends. To Damai (another Damai trip? haha), or to Gading (what a 'memorable' trip back there), or to KK (wanted to go for so long already... but, long-distance trips always don't work out, do they?), or go yam cha or just gather at Wai Leng or Elaine's house to chat and gossip? Sounds so fun... Ohya, need to change/cancel off my air tickets also >.<

RAG... nothing to say. Just do my (our) best this year. Really 妙想天开 to expect to be at the same level as last year. But I'm ready to devote my whole holiday to help put this year's standard as close as possible to last year's. Hopefully, physically if not mentally.

... how if this year's... don't dare to think. Very 心酸 by just watching the video of '05's RAG, where everyone crying after result announced...

... a bit scared...

ohya, this years theme: passion, spirit
